VWFAYP Series - Butyl Vapor Barrier Tape

An interior butyl tape for airtight window connections and vapor-control-layer continuity.

Product Overview

VWFAYP Series Butyl Vapor Barrier Tape is an advanced self-adhesive internal sealing tape designed for the interior side of window and door openings in low-energy and high-performance building envelopes. It provides a high vapor-resistance layer to help prevent indoor moisture vapor from diffusing into the wall cavity.

Used together with an exterior vapor-permeable sealing tape, VWFAYP helps create a proper inside-tight / outside-open window installation detail. It improves airtightness around window and door frames, supports condensation control, and helps reduce unwanted energy loss at critical opening transitions.

For improved installation flexibility, VWFAYP can be supplied with customized split release film configurations. A narrow self-adhesive strip on the reverse side can also be added upon request, allowing easier pre-fixing to window or door frames before final bonding to the surrounding internal wall substrate.
